can you believe that I haven't had a craving for a flaky, perfect croissant since I came back from France? I think I hit my treshhold for breakfast pastries during the 5 days I was there. we stayed in an apartment that was around the corner from a boulangerie (although isn't that true of most Parisian apartments?) and every morning, my mom would pop down to the store and order something perfectly delicious that wouldn't quite hold us until lunch. pain au chocolates are a wonderful treat, but this girl needs a little protein to keep my tummy from growling at 10 am.
