Burlington is not exactly known for its shopping. I live a few blocks from Church Street, and while it's the heart of downtown, it only has a handful of carefully curated stores, and they get old, fast. I obviously can't afford anything in the Rachel Comey flagship store in SoHo, but I crave the chic and minimal atmosphere that an actual boutique provides. I can't take another minute of picking through overcrowded racks at T.J. Maxx under fluorescent lights. alas, my budget is more Maxxinista than anything else right now, but someday, I'll be shopping at stores without giant red CLEARANCE signs or polyester.
