When I was in Washington DC a few weeks ago for work, I made a point to stop in to the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, solely for its Gem and Mineral exhibit. I could spend all day looking at geodes, crystals, and other gorgeous specimens, and I've always been drawn to jewelry that showcases the raw beauty of the earth.
The French jewelry brand HAND AND HAND does this perfectly, matching minimalist metals with natural stones from all over the world. Her workspace looks like it could be the backroom of a natural history museum (and I would know, I used to work at one). Her mixing of raw beauty with polished gold is just so darn chic. I couldn't find purchasing information on her site, and I'm 100% sure that I couldn't afford it, so for now, I'll settle for following her on Instagram.
