I took a little stroll around my neighborhood last weekend with my film camera. the temperature was finally above zero and the sun was shining. it was a great day.
I have a confession: I haven't gone grocery shopping in over two weeks. well, I haven't actually purchased FOOD in two weeks. I've stopped in to the nearest store for wine and cheese party supplies, but I don't have a single piece of produce in my fridge. whatever, I'm OK with it, especially because it gives me a reason to stop into my favorite bagel place in Burlington, Feldman's, for an everything bagel, not toasted, with veggie cream cheese. yum. that plus a small coffee is about $4, making it a small but oh-so-necessary treat.
I'm spending this weekend mostly in the office (shoot me, please), but with treats like these, I'm doing alright. sleep in for me! I'm envious of anyone with the opportunity to spend longer than usual in bed with a stack of magazines and a big mug of caffeine.
this morning, there was (apparently) snow on the ground in Burlington. I woke up at 9 am, though, so I just have to take everyone's word on it, but a chilly fall day demands a night in with Vietnamese soup and crab rangoon from my favorite takeout place here in the South End, M Saigon. paired with a cheap bottle of wine from the deli across the street and my laptop to keep my warm, I have a fabulous night of Netflix and cat cuddling ahead of me.
last week, I saw STRFKR at Higher Ground. aside from all of the sweaty, 19-year-old bros who were too drunk to care about concert etiquette, it was a great time. I took this picture at the point when they had the opening bands put on animal costumes, were about to unleash the balloons and streamers, and the drummer put on an astronaut costume and started to crowd surf. not a bad Thursday night!
